Indonesian Blogger Mourns Bunda Zidan Demise

Indonesian bloggers mourn the sudden death of Inong popularly known as Bunda Zidan (Mother of Zidan) who died on August 31, aged 32 leaving her two kids and husband. Many condolences being attributed to her by Indonesian bloggers who knew her personally or through her blog.

Here, I pick one taken from For the Love of Baking blog who apparently knew her very closely. I apologize for the blog owner for not asking her permission before I post it here.

A Daisy for a Friend

"This is to honor Inong of Dapur Bunda, who died September 1, 2006, –9 days before her 33th birthday. A Super Mom, a perfect mom. A dedicated homemaker. A baker. A painter. A writer. A Poet. A friend.

I still remember the last baking class I had at her house, where she taught Lapis Legit (1000 Layers Cake). It was last year, before she moved to Singapore. The class was attended by me, Ana and Vita. It didn’t feel like a class, because 4 of us knew each other well. We ate the cake after class, and chatted all afternoon. Talking about girl stuff and everything.

Among Indonesian bloggers, Inong was an endless source of inspiration and enthusiasm. So many times I found myself thinking that I could never do what she could do in 24 hour a day. She changed many lives, including mine.

So, here is to Inong. May Allah have mercy and return her good deeds million times bigger. I’ll be missing her so much."

My heartfelt condolence goes to her kids and husband. And for Inong or Bunda Zidan, may her soul rest in peace. And May the Almighty God bestows her family with resilient and perseverance and come out of this sudden and sad demise of their lowing wife and mother as stronger persons and move on towards a better future. Amen.
